Candidate Prerequisites
Prior to applying for a staff position, candidates must meet the following minimum prerequisites:

  • Trust in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, living a vibrant Christian life, and agree with EMI’s Belief Statement.
  • Be an EMI trip-volunteer on one or more EMI trips during the last two years. If you have not traveled on an EMI trip as a volunteer during the last two years, see our list of current projects.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time professional experience in your discipline. Professional license in your discipline is preferred. (If applying for an administrative/support position, experience requirements vary).
  • Willingness and ability to raise financial support to fund 100% of your salary, insurance, and ministry costs. Unless otherwise noted, all staff positions are support-based. Note: project trip expenses are paid by EMI.
