SIL Senegal Office Campus

SIL is a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to helping language communities around the world develop the skills and abilities they need to preserve and revitalize their languages.

Born of a desire to serve the populations of the various regions better and be more accessible, it was decided to relocate the SIL center from Dakar to Thies. The SIL former facility in the industrial zone of Dakar was a difficult place to work from and host events, workshops, and families. SIL asked EMI Senegal for help acquiring some land and developing a new facility.

EMI Senegal was tasked with creating a design that met the client's desire to build an administrative space for SIL Senegal, shared space with the partners (FES and DPTLL), a workspace for FES, DPTLL & Translation, accommodation space and an annex/utilities space. EMI designed and supervised the construction of campus developments.
