Centro Renovar, Mexico City, Mexico
Pastor Training Center
Transformacion Urbana Internacional is a ministry in Mexico City whose vision is to holistically transform urban poor communities, leading the way to healthier, more free and more just societies, where people can live with dignity and sufficiency within a framework marked by values of service, transformation, and justice. They are a church planting and community development organization in the urban slum communities.
The purpose of Centro Renovar is to provide a place of renewal, healing, and equipping for local Pastors in and around Mexico City. Serving on the eastern side of Mexico City, these pastors face high rates of burn-out and attrition as they serve congregations overrun by structural injustice, corruption, crime, violence and resulting sense of hopelessness.
The idea of Centro Renovar is to have a place for Pastors to come and have people walk alongside them, to provide training in crucial areas, to offer a place of rest, and to allow Pastors to be healthy, stable leaders. Centro Renovar will strengthen, equip, coach, counsel and provide a safe space for spiritual, emotional and mental renewal to local urban poor pastors, community leaders, ministry and organizational leaders, and missionaries in order to help increase their resiliency and effectiveness in spreading the gospel throughout their communities. Centro Renvor has the opportunity to have a great impact as there are 2,500 churches on the eastern side of Mexico City alone.
