Professional Training and Experience
I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in visual communication. As a student I worked for the Center of Scholarship for Teaching and Learning developing websites for online courses. After college I worked for a year as a paginator at a local newspaper. I then found work at a Schaffer's Electrical Enclosures for 1 1/2 years working with Solid Edge to develop computer models and construction documents for sheet metal enclosures.

I begin to see the need for ministry begin with my youth pastor taking us on a trips to St. Louis and an Indian reservation in South Dakota. Later I sought outreach to those in American drug culture through the foundation of relationship. I then joined Young Life as a volunteer leader for 2 1/2 years in Missouri and Colorado.

My heart was fascinated with the diversity of the earth at an early age. My father is a cultural geographer and that part of his world view became my own. From having Japanese exchange students in our home to living in London for half a year I saw the world outside of my local community an early age.

Working with EMI has given me the opportunity to be a part of ministries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

If God told me to live long term in a cross-cultural setting, the country I would chose...
I have and will always have a love for Asia (big place I know). But I am willing to go as the Lord leads.

Verses to Live By
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a Spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

1 John 5:2-3
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome.

Micah 7:18-19
Who is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love.

1 Samuel 17:41-58
He will again have compassion on us;
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
Yes, Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
