EMI UK Belfast Pizza Evening and Talk

Plan now to join us for what we hope will be an informative and enjoyable evening. Network with other Construction design professionals and meet the staff of EMIUK.

 The evening is for professionals and supporters including:

  • those interested in knowing more about EMI
  • design professionals who want to gain some CPD knowledge about working in tropical countries
  • design professionals who want to use their skills to serve
  • post graduate students interested in doing an internship with EMI
  • those who would like to support our work financially or in prayer
  • supporters who want to know how they can best support EMI staff serving overseas and
  • ministries interested in using EMI services. 

5:30pm Registration, food (pizza and more), drink and networking

6:00pm Presentations with a short break in the middle

7:30pm-8:00pm Networking

The evening will cover architecture, engineering and construction management. It will include an introduction to EMI, how you can be involved and include presentations on projects below.

Emma Wright, an architect from Northern Ireland, will have just returned from a project trip to Ethiopia. She will talk about this project and her experience of going on an EMI project trip.

Working for Fields of Life, Dave Lambert will give a short presentation of this vital project for Northern Uganda. The Institute will provide vocational training in Hotel and Catering, Engineering, Vehicle maintenance, Tailoring, ICT, Hairdressing, Plumbing, Electronics, Metal fabrication, Building and general studies - all in a Christian context in association with the Church of Uganda.

Dave Lambert will give a short talk about recent visits to Burundi, one of the poorest countries on earth with only one surgeon / million people (UK has 200/million). The talk will cover a completed Surgery Wards block, a Paediatrics / Malnutrition wards under construction and structural proposals to make safe a church built on the hospital site.
