The EMI India office started in 1998 and has designed hundreds of facilities throughout all parts of India. The office was originally located in the hill station town of Mussoorie where it operated for 15 years until relocating to Delhi 10 years ago. It currently has 5 staff members (1 Architect1, 2 Construction Managers, 1 Civil Engineer, 1 IT Professional and 1 Admin Staff) and is operating as a Private Limited Company.
EMI India provides comprehensive design services from concept, through detailed design, to construction administration for a wide range of clients throughout India. The Design team combines local and international staff, serving in architectural design, project management, and drafting roles. Staff are based at the EMI India office in New Delhi, and are occasionally mobilized to project sites for consultation with our partners, or to provide project supervision.
Additionally, employees of EMI are responsible for representing EMI, both in a professional manner and as an ambassador to the greater EMI mission, including participating in the personal and spiritual development of others.
EMI India is currently seeking an Architect whose desire is collaborative project execution through the development of young industry professionals in EMI’s network.
The Staff Architect is responsible for coordinating design and production for projects. This includes concept design and construction documentation while managing quality control and scheduling. A professional license is required, and 8+ years of relevant work experience is preferred. The Staff Architect may also be required to lead project trips requiring the coordination of volunteers to travel domestically and internationally 2-3 times per year up to 14 days each.
- BS in Architecture
- Professionally registered/licensed
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Working knowledge of personal computers with demonstrated experience in the use of such programs as: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Autocad and Revit
- Manage the architectural design process through all stages of a project, from assessing clients’ needs and preparing a design brief to construction administration
- Mentor and train young architects
- Manage multi-disciplinary design team during concept design and detailed design
- Spiritual mentoring within the team
