Professional Training & Experience

  • BS Civil Engineering, University of Texas at Tyler, 2010
  • Pine Cove Forge Leadership & Discipleship Program, 2011
  • EMI Middle East North Africa Intern, 2012
  • Civil Engineer (EIT) Consulting in Texas 2012-2015

Upon graduating with her civil engineering degree, Brittany knew she wanted to use her education to serve communities in the developing world.  After a  year long discipleship and ministry training program, she joined EMI in their Middle East/North Africa office to pursue this hope.  After 8 months overseas as an intern, Brittany worked for AECOM where she obtained her EIT and was part of their water resources and land development teams.  With her training through the discipleship program and her experiences as an intern overseas and working in consulting, the intern director role has been a great fit for her as she recruits, interviews, mobilizes, and trains incoming interns while also working on projects in the US office.

Ministry Experience

Brittany spent many summers as a camp counselor learning to love children and teach them about Christ. As a senior counselor, she was challenged in helping young adults grow in their faith which was a catalyst for her to attend a discipleship program after college. This program provided 19 hours of seminary courses which intrigued Brittany to learn how people from different cultures' worldviews impact their beliefs about God. Ultimately, this helped guide her towards the decision to go overseas for 8 months. Upon her return to America, she sought to teach English to refugees and also be a leader with YoungLife- College which was great preparation for the role she is in today at EMI USA.

Family

Brittany's parents, Bill & Marcie, are highly supportive of her as she pursues the Lord's calling even when that meant their youngest was moving from their hometown of San Antonio, Texas up to Colorado.  Brittany's brother, Will, also lives in San Antonio along with his two sons.  Kimberly, Brittany's sister, lives in Houston with her husband Duy and two daughters.  Brittany's greatest joy in life is being an aunt to these 4 little ones!
