Thuly started her career in media advertising, Business-to-Business (B2B) events and publishing where she took on roles as a sales manager and team manager for a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) publication for four years. She then joined a new media company and worked on their Top Women in Business publication as a Business Development Manager, engaging with key decision makers in corporate communication and marketing. She then became a Brand Manager for B2B Human Resource Summit & Awards event building a sales team and managing sponsorships for the event for three and half years. 

Seeking more fulfilment and wanting to serve with the skills she had acquired, Thuly decided to look for opportunities within the NPO sector as a fundraiser. This career shift saw her joining the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust as a Corporate Fundraising Manager and thus began her journey of serving in the NPO sector. She’s since grown her experience as a fundraising consultant and business development advisor and has worked with women-owned small businesses in local townships in Cape Town. After being retrenched during the Global pandemic her desire to serve God’s kingdom led her to join EMI in 2022 as Development Coordinator.

Ministry Experience

Thuly grew up attending church and following her grandmother's teaching about the Lord and the Bible. She’s still growing in ministry and in her walk with God more personally. As she expands and grows, her heart’s desire is to be a light to those she connects with and share God's love. Thuly is excited to walk this journey of building an intentional and personal relationship with God as she has seen God's profound blessing in her life, and believes that He will never forsake her. 

Family

Thuly was raised by her grandmother (she is the Queen!) and attributes all that she is to her and to God for giving her strength. As the only child from her mother's side and the eldest of five children from her father's side, Thuly grew up with many cousins who are the closest she has to brothers and sisters. Thuly has been married for the past six years and with her husband Michael for the past 12 years. She is also very passionate about food, fashion, fitness and developing people, and finds joy in making people feel at home (and full!)
