Important message about the COVID-19 Coronavirus

In an effort to care for all of our personnel, families, and mission around the world, EMI has been taking a number of steps in response to the progress of COVID-19.

Location-specific Crisis Management Teams remain in place to monitor COVID developments, inform, and care for EMI personnel. Decisions about official EMI travel (including project travel) domestically and internationally are being made on a case-by-case basis by Office Directors in locations concerned. EMI’s worldwide offices remain in varying states of closure with personnel working remotely or from home.

We continue to actively monitor the situation and will respond to new information affecting our worldwide ministry and teams. We view the COVID-19 Coronavirus as an opportunity to live out the gospel and our faith in Jesus through the ministry of EMI.

Professional Training & Experience

  • BS Civil Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2018
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • EMI USA Intern, Jan - May 2018

Riley spent her time at Georgia Tech gaining experience through internships and classes to help develop her civil engineering skills both in consulting and in international development. After graduating from Georgia Tech in December of 2018, she spent a year and a half working with Barge Design Solutions in Atlanta where she worked in stormwater modeling and hydrologic/hydraulic analyses.

Ministry Experience

Riley grew up in a church that valued loving God, loving others, and reaching the world. From a young age, she desired to use her time and skills to achieve those purposes. While at Tech, Riley became involved in The Navigators and learned the importance of discipleship and Bible study in the walk of the Christian faith. During this time, she also discovered more deeply how much Jesus cares for both the physical and spiritual needs of people and wondered how she might play a role in His mission. Through EMI, Riley has found a way to help serve these needs specifically through her background in civil engeering and her heart for making Christ known.
