Important message about the COVID-19 Coronavirus

In an effort to care for all of our personnel, families, and mission around the world, EMI has been taking a number of steps in response to the progress of COVID-19.

Location-specific Crisis Management Teams remain in place to monitor COVID developments, inform, and care for EMI personnel. Decisions about official EMI travel (including project travel) domestically and internationally are being made on a case-by-case basis by Office Directors in locations concerned. EMI’s worldwide offices remain in varying states of closure with personnel working remotely or from home.

We continue to actively monitor the situation and will respond to new information affecting our worldwide ministry and teams. We view the COVID-19 Coronavirus as an opportunity to live out the gospel and our faith in Jesus through the ministry of EMI.

Professional Training & Experience

I have worked in the Accounting field most of my adult life, mostly for retail businesses, and mostly as management in automotive dealerships. However, I began also doing bookkeeping to audit stage for a few churches since 2003 and have always had a heart for missions. I was introduced to EMI Canada through my professional connections with auditors, and beleive that God was opening this door for me to combine both practical abilities as well as getting know the bones of mission work, especially in the building process. I am BLESSED!!!

Ministry Experience

My only ministry experience outside of being involved in church ministry was after my husband passed away in 2011. The church I had attended for 17 years at that time had youth mission trips every two years, and I was privileged to join the Youth in 2012 on a mission trip to Ensenada, Mexico where I was involved in the prison ministry outreach for a couple of days, some neighborhood enrichment by painting homes, and the church itself, and helping a little with the Vacation Bible School that the youth lead.

It definitely made my heart yearn to serve in a missions capacity much more.

I have four adult sons, three of whom are married and have children. I have eight grandchildren at present and one on the way (due in August 2018). My youngest son is still finding his way, both in his career and in his spiritual walk, even though he committed his life to the Lord at a hockey camp in his early teens. Your prayers would be coveted in joining mine to bring him back to the truth.

My Mom is still with us, God willing she will turn 95 in December! I have two sisters, one older, and one younger.
