Lesley has been in international missions her entire professional career, first working in social projects with a Latin American founded and run church planting organization in Honduras and then joining EMI in 2016 to help launch the EMI Nicaragua office.
At EMI Nicaragua, Lesley had the privilege of developing EMI Nicaragua's intern programme for both international and local intern participants, in addition to working as an executive assistant for the office director and event coordinator.
Lesley's passion for this in-house ministry opportunity of EMI to disciple the next generation of design professionals during some of the most formative years of their adult lives continues on. In 2019, Lesley joined the EMI Global Office and oversee the intern programme amongst EMI's twelve offices worldwide. Since that time, Lesley's role has expanded, and she now also manages the EMI's second discipleship programme, the fellowship programme, for early career staff joining EMI. Lesley is a part of the Global HR team and has roles to support that team, in addition to helping coordinate worldwide events put on by the Global office. Lesley's passion is professional and spiritual discipleship, so her role is a God-given fit for her!
Lesley lives in Colorado, USA with her beautiful son, Avery Lucas, who is now five years old, and is more of a people person than his mama - if that's possible.
Each year, EMI’s people complete over 80 development projects to see people restored by God and the world restored through design. To keep these design services affordable for Christian ministries, professionals on EMI’s staff are responsible for raising their own salaries.
We are so grateful for God’s provision through the generosity of donors. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with the great things God is doing through Lesley’s ministry of discipleship at EMI?
