Professional Training & Experience

Julia graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA with a B.S. in Engineering in 2019. After graduating, she took a job in southern California at a consulting firm as a Civil Engineer, planning to get experience to one day use engineering in a mission’s context. After a couple of years working in the corporate world, she found EMI and knew that it would be a great place to continue to learn and begin applying engineering skills in a mission’s context. She joined the Fellowship program in 2022.

Ministry Experience

Julia grew up in a Christian family and was very involved in church from young age. In college, she was involved in Cru Campus Ministries which provided lots of opportunities for her to grow in her faith. Some of those opportunities included one-on-one discipleship, leadership positions on campus, and local and overseas mission’s trips. These trips are what the Lord used to show her the need for laborers and grow her desire to see the Gospel brought to the nations.

Family

Julia was born and raised in a small town in southern Virginia with one younger sister. In recent years, her parents have resettled in North Carolina and her younger sister and brother-in-law have settled in Virginia.
