Jim is a Civil Engineer and Certified Construction Manager who spent 37 years managing construction projects for the US Government. He has overseen all levels of work from minor building system upgrades through major new construction projects. Jim has taken early retirement in order to pursue his “second career” with EMI managing a wide range of construction projects in the South Africa Office.
Ministry Experience
While in college, Jim dedicated his life to Christ and grew in faith through the ministry of the Navigators. After graduation, he was involved in the Navigators Community Ministry as well as a local church where he continued to grow in discipleship. He met his wife, Jen, at a Navigators singles retreat. After marriage, Jim continued to grow in faith and service through a Navigators couples’ study and through the ministry of First Alliance Church (FAC). He has been a member of FAC for over 30 years, serving on the Leadership and Administration teams and as an elder and deacon. In addition, Jim and Jen have reached out to their community in various ways, led small groups, served on the Missions Committee, and participated in short-term missions.
Family
Jen and Jim have been married for over 33 years and have 3 adult children, Jason, Joanne, and Julie. They are excited to begin their new adventure with EMI in South Africa.
