Professional Training & Experience

  • BS, Electrical Engineering, Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, TN, USA, 2013
  • Consulting Engineering in Nashville, TN, 2014-2020
  • PE, Electrical Engineering, Tennessee, 2017

After graduating from Tennessee Technological University, Adam completed two internships with EMI. After completing the internships, he then spent seven years working as a power distribution engineer at a small mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering firm called Envision Advantage, LLC in Nashville, Tennessee. After gaining valuable experience in healthcare, higher education, and commercial building electrical design, Adam joined EMI staff in 2020.

Ministry Experience

While studying at university, Adam was involved in a campus ministry organization that allowed him the opportunity to serve in the Philippines for two months. The following year he went to the Dominican Republic to install a small solar lighting system. After searching for a way to combine engineering with missions, he found EMI. The internships at EMI allowed Adam to see how electrical engineering could be used to serve people around the world through meeting both spiritual and physical needs. With this, a desire was sparked to return to EMI as a staff member after gaining more engineering experience and licensure.
