Ministry Experience

Andy first developed an interest in using engineering skills to equip ministries in high school while on a relief trip after Hurricane Katrina. After college, he had the opportunity to intern with an engineer and local missionaries in a small village in Swaziland (Eswatini), Africa where he helped facilitate care point outreach to the primarily orphan-based community alongside local projects and community garden development. Upon returning to the states, Andy spent a year working as a peer mentor in a farming-based Christian facility for young adults recovering from addiction called His Mansion Ministries. In 2015, Andy served as the college staff coordinator and program intern at Twin Rocks Friends Camp where he mentored counselors, facilitated retreats, and led an after-school program for youth. In 2020 Andy started in the EMI US office and hired, trained and mobilized over 140 interns to each of EMI's offices over the next 5 years. Andy married his wife Sarah in summer 2023 and they currently live in Colorado Springs as Andy transitions into the design/project work at EMI.
