Ministry Experience

As part of the capstone design project of her engineering degree, Kendra completed a bridge design for a rural community in Guatemala.  Through this project she witnessed firsthand the power of engineering in the developing world.  Although the project didn't have a spiritual component, it was Kendra's first opportunity to understand how her education could be a catalyst to open doors for the gospel and meet basic needs around the world.  After searching for a way to use engineering in a gospel context, Kendra was introduced to EMI.  She and her husband Brad joined their first EMI project trip in 2007.   In 2016, after more than a decade of consulting engineering in Wisconsin, Kendra and Brad felt the Lord calling them to work with EMI full-time.

Family

Kendra met her husband Brad (Mechanical Engineer for EMI)  while studying engineering in Milwaukee. They were married in 2003 and spent the first 14 years of their marraige in Northeast Wisconsin.  Brad and Kendra moved to Cape Town in January 2018 to help launch the EMI South Africa office.
