Nick began his career as a missionary teacher with Africa Inland Mission, teaching Maths and Physics and building dormitories and water system in Kenya.  He then got a graduate entry job to Kodak Limited serving as a mechanical engineer in the company.  He worked for 19 years in a wide variety of assignments and locations including 2 years in France.  His roles included design, cooling systems, robotics, new product design and starting up new venture businesses for Kodak.  He project managed many extensive engineering projects. He later joined IBM as a business advisor and worked all over the world running large programs of projects.

He was challenged by the concept of Business as Mission and moved with his wife to Cambodia in 2017 where he helped run an IT company.  His biggest challenge was supporting the NGOs and government departments distribute money to the 1.7 million poor during the Covid period. 

He learned about EMI while in country and moved positions to support the Cambodia office with Project management and took on the role of business advisor.

He is a chartered engineer and qualified project manager.

Family

Nick and his wife Liz have been married for over 39 years.  They have three grown married children; Mark, Jonathan and Rachel, who all live nearby in the North West of England, UK.
