Important message about the COVID-19 Coronavirus

In an effort to care for all of our personnel, families, and mission around the world, EMI has been taking a number of steps in response to the progress of COVID-19.

Location-specific Crisis Management Teams are now in place to monitor COVID developments, inform, and care for EMI personnel. All official EMI travel (including project travel) has been cancelled or postponed and no new travel plans are being prepared until further notice. EMI’s worldwide offices are in varying states of closure with personnel working remotely or from home as they are able.

We continue to actively monitor the situation and will respond to new information affecting our worldwide ministry and teams. We view the COVID-19 Coronavirus an opportunity to live out the gospel and our faith in Jesus through the ministry of EMI.

Professional Training & Experience

Bsc Land Surveying and Geomatics, Makerere University- 2020

Solome attended an EMI survey practicum workshop in 2016 during her year one at university. This set her on a path to later join the practicum as a trainee during her second year of university in 2017, a practicum intern during her third year in 2018 and leader of the practicum in 2019 after her fourth year. She also found time to volunteer and partner with different surveyors on different projects to build her competence before joining as staff in July 2019.

Ministry Experience

Solome grew up in Uganda in a Christian family but she made the decision to start her personal walk with Christ in 2014. She later went on to volunteer in youth ministry at church and lead a youth fellowship for four years while in the university. She continues to appreciate God's work in and around her and is expectant of the journey with EMI as God uses her. She is ready to bloom where she is planted.

Born to a family with three brothers and parents from northern Uganda, she continues to learn and grow from observing and loving them to bits!
