Professional Training & Experience

Stuart is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he received his bachelors in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation he relocated to Charlotte, NC where he began his career in site civil engineering. He spent a majority of his early career, nearly 10 years, with McAdams where he acted as a project manager leading a team to serve clients in a variety of market sectors including residential, industrial, energy, and commercial. It was during this time that he became a licensed civil engineer. Stuart began volunteering with EMI in 2018 and in 2024 he joined staff.

Ministry Experience

During 2018 Stuart was working to obtain his professional license as an engineer. It was during this time that the Lord ignited a fire in him for overseas mission work, and specifically with EMI. After several years of volunteer involvement with EMI, Stuart, and his wife Kinsey, began to feel the Lord directing them to pursue full-time service with the organization. Stuart is thankful for the invitation to combine ministry and design through his new role with EMI.

Stuart and Kinsey relocated to Cape Town in January 2025, and they are now seeking out local ministry opportunities. They both share a heart for children's ministry, leading life groups, and Kinsey loves singing in praise bands. They are both excited to see where the Lord leads them in this next chapter of their stories.

Family

Stuart was raised by his loving parents in Virginia, USA, and he has the joy of having 3 brothers. He is married to Kinsey, and they have been blessed with two sons, Liam and Owen. Stuart and Kinsey share a heart for kid's ministry and missions as well as a love of the outdoors and reading. They are loving this stage of life where they have the chance to explore life through a new lens - their young boys' eyes.
