Summer of 2011 Tatiana spent two months in a mountain village in Peru for a summer mission trip that would change her life forever. The first task for her team was to rid their rooms of the mold that was left behind after the rainy season. As they built relationships with the locals, they were given opportunities to teach English at the schools, lead bible studies, and simply partake in the villager’s way of life. Tatiana loved working with a focus on evangelism and immersing herself in a culture that was not her own. After that summer in Peru, Tatiana was convinced she wanted to do full-time ministry.
Tatiana volunteered for her first project trip with EMI India in 2017 for the design of a new seminary college. She fell in love with the God-centric work atmosphere and approach to all EMI projects. In 2020, Tatiana volunteered virtually with EMI South Africa to design the wastewater system of a new all-girls school in Tunduru, Tanzania. After seeing a need for a civil engineer, Tatiana joined staff with EMI South Africa in 2022 and moved from New Jersey, USA to Cape Town. Since then, she has been on a variety of projects including Good News Hospital Upgrade (Madagascar), Inundo Farm Training School (South Africa), and Minga Mission Hospital Expansion (Zambia). Tatiana continuously invites the Lord into her work trusting wholeheartedly that He is working towards restoration of His creation and His children through projects like these.
Each year, EMI completes more than 100 development projects, all serving marginalized communities and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s a lot of lives impacted in both spiritual and physical ways! These services are discounted to the ministries who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford them. To do this, the staff with EMI do not collect a salary but are responsible for raising support in order to make the essential work of EMI possible. We would be honored if you would prayerfully consider partnering with Tatiana in the great things that God is doing through the ministry of EMI.
