EMI Global is actively seeking qualified candidates for the next Nicaragua Office Director.
With a newly formed business entity, we are excited to find a spiritually mature leader who combines strong management/business experience with a heart for discipleship and care for others in a bilingual, cross-cultural context.
The position will be located at the office in Managua, Nicaragua. If not already located in Nicaragua, the selected candidate will be expected to relocate by a mutually agreeable time.
This position requires an upper-intermediate language proficiency in both Spanish and English. Applicants without this proficiency may apply with the understanding that additional language learning may be available/expected based on the candidate's proficiency level.
This position requires personal support raising for any expatriate candidates. The selected applicant should be reasonably able to perform in this role for 5 years or more, though no contractual commitment to this length of service is implied.
In addition to the typical EMI Staff prerequisites, qualifications for this position include:
- BS in Engineering, Architecture or other design professional degree preferred, not required
- MBA or other business or management degree desired, not required
- 5+ years relevant leadership and project management experience required
- English and Spanish language requirement at a B2 or better based on the Common European Framework
- Able to travel domestically and/or internationally 2-3 times per year for project trips and leadership gatherings

- Spiritually and professionally disciple others through EMI’s activities, both inside and outside the office.
- Develop and lead the office leadership team.
- Develop office programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee client services and project development.
- Oversee office finances, HR, and risk management.
