After graduating from university, I worked for a few years as a structural designer. As I was advancing in my career, I began looking for more purpose in life. As I was seeking God's guidance for what to do, I heard about EMI for the first time.

While I thought EMI would be a short career detour, God had other plans. As I kept asking God what was next, my commitment at EMI continued to grow: First as an intern in 2013, then as a volunteer in Uganda for a year, then by joining staff in 2014. Now I serve as engineering manager and structural engineer at EMI Uganda.

I met Ashley in Uganda while volunteering with EMI. Ashley was doing a placement with Doors Ministries for her masters’ degree. We married in 2015 and Ashley continues to volunteer with Doors Ministries as we raise our two young kids.
