EMI Nicaragua collaborated with IBCE on the master plan design of their bible institute. The project consists of the development of 3 buildings, green areas and parking. These 3 buildings will be built in stages. Here it is possible to see phase one - the earthworks and principal building comprising 4 classrooms, offices, bathrooms and a cafe. The library, auditorium and further office spaces are scheduled to follow.

EMI originally worked with IBCE on plans in 2018 (project 13009) and were then contracted to complete a concept update and the detailed design on phase 1. Construction began in 2022. One priority for the project was the use of natural shading and overhangs as well as cross-wind ventilation to reduce the reliance on air conditioning systems which are expensive. As the project is very close to the EMI Nicaragua office, there were opportunities to visit at various points of construction, allowing our interns valuable learning experiences.

The training provided by IBCE ensures that pastors have a solid biblical foundation for their teaching as they preach the word of God in Nicaragua and other Latin American countries. The facilities have the capacity to train 100+ students annually.
