Eglise Baptiste Dund Gi Church in Senegal was suffering from severe structural cracking in several places on the ground floor. The damage to the 12-year-old church building had worsened significantly after the most recent rainy season.

EMI Senegal came alongside the Church’s leadership to assess the damage and recommend solutions for rehabilitating the structure to ensure the safety of the congregation and to increase the building’s lifespan. A small team visited the Church to do an initial evaluation which included visual inspection and intrusive structural surveying.

After completing the initial evaluation, the EMI team excavated under the building and added structural footings and columns in critical locations and repaired the existing cracks. Since then, the building has experienced no more structural issues.
