In 2013, EMI worked with Love Guatemala on the design of a vocational educational building located in Magdalena, Guatemala.

EMI plans were submitted in November 2013 and the construction was completed by January 2015. The rapid progress was made possible by the provision of Dios through the generous and immediate donation of funds. A local architect completed the detailed design, and construction was completed by locally hired construction workers.

Love Guatemala’s mission is “Bringing the hope of Jesus through holistic development”. Each year approximately 450 students are served through the various projects run by Love Guatemala. The growth of the center was exponential after construction was completed. The center offers various types of education to local people including cooking classes, English classes, speech therapy and adult education. Their education programs have won awards locally for the quality it provides. A local church also uses the facilities once a week giving students and the community an accessible way to engage with church fellowship.
