The Salvation Army Chikankata Mission completed an extensive upgrade to its electrical system, enhancing its capacity and efficiency. The upgrade included the installation of a solar plant and other critical infrastructure, such as generators, voltage regulators, and automatic transfer switches for each region of the Mission’s hospital.
The new electrical system features a utility and diesel generator interactive setup, designed to maximize energy savings and reliability. This innovative system is expected to save the Mission over $20,000 USD per year in energy costs, allowing for more resources to be allocated towards its vital healthcare and community programs.
