EMI revolves around the person of Jesus and serves the global Church to glorify God through core values of Design, Discipleship, and Diversity.
EMI Uganda exists to see the Ugandan Design and Construction Industry transformed and raised to a place of regional influence, infused with individuals committed to honouring God, developing others, serving their communities, and working collaboratively and across cultures to provide transformational design and construction solutions for East Africa.
To position ourselves to make this vision a reality, EMI Uganda is transitioning our drawing production to Revit.
The current EMI Uganda staff have limited experience with Revit. The architectural drawings have been done in Revit for a few projects but now we want to fully implement Revit on all our projects.
EMI Uganda is involved in projects from the concept design stage all the way through construction. We desire to better integrate our design, drafting, estimating and construction into our workflow.
The main need at this time is training for architectural and structural drawing production utilizing Revit
- develop a training program for EMI Uganda staff that can also be used to train future staff and interns as well as others within the Ugandan design and construction industry
- provide introductory training to a wide group of people
- provide advanced training to a small group of people
- creation of templates and office standards
There is flexibility in the timing and length of the trip (anywhere from 1 week to 1 month to 4 months). We will work with interested volunteers to determine a schedule and program that fits.
We have purchased our licenses, we are eager to learn and evolve but we need someone to help us start well. Will you consider helping EMI Uganda make this much needed transition?
