EMI has been invited to Ethiopia by Bethel Agricultural Association to masterplan a new Agricultural University and training center on 32 acres.
Bethel's overall goal is to "reduce environmental degradation and increase Ethiopia’s capacity to produce more and better food, thus stabilizing livelihoods, reducing poverty, and improving people’s nutrition and health. One of our specific goals is to establish a university and training center focused primarily on environmental stewardship and agricultural productivity that will serve the people of Ethiopia and other parts of Africa."
The project will contain academic, administrative and residential facilities in addition to a demonstration farm, fields and areas for animal husbandry.
The EMI team will consist of Architects, Engineers and Agriculturists who will work with the ministry leaders to plan and layout the campus for a phased implantation.
