It is a privilege for EMI to be able to partner with the Anglican Diocese in Tanzania to develop an educational campus masterplan for the Bishop Adiema Institute of Science and Technology (BAIST). Their mission is to teach and preach the word of God and to provide socio economic support to communities in Rorya so as to fight against poverty, diseases and ignorance.
BAIST is an institution of higher learning, but it also aims to:
1) Maintain village population health conditions through safe and hygienic drinking water and education.
2) Create gender equality in training opportunities between women and men
3) Strengthening and widening Christian faith in Rorya, Tanzania by Word and deed.
4) Ministering to engage the poor by increasing awareness on how to raise living standards.
A masterplan that will accommodate primary, secondary, high school, and a college of Science and Technology. This will include: classrooms, science laboratories, libraries, workshops, dormitories, administration, dining facilities, and support facilities. To this end, the work will include conceptual master-planning, building design, simple survey, site grading, drainge, water and wastewater, site electrical and basic structural recommendations. The first phase of the project will also include the conceptual architectural design of a couple of these buildings.
BAIST is to be located in Nyamusi village in Rorya district of Mara region - Tanzania. The project will be led by the Canada office. Would you prayfully consider joining our team?
