EMI is excited to support the Promised Land Association by developing their new campus designed to provide refuge, care and hope to victims of trafficking and abuse.
In 2012, Promised Land Association was established in Cambodia with a mission to impact impoverished communities and help prevent trafficking and abuse. After two years of working with the government and the Ministry of Social Affairs, in 2014, PLA received permission to open a home for girls that have been rescued from various abuses including rape, domestic violence, and trafficking.
.As PLA has built relationships with the government and developed a reputation for caring well for these girls, they have outgrown their current facility. In 2019, EMI completed a survey of a new property, and now we are continuing to support this critical work by providing structural engineering design for new dormitories to be constructed in 2021.
Due to current travel restrictions, this project will not include a traditional EMI trip. If you are interested to volunteer your time and expertise, please click on the links below! Together with our local staff in the Cambodia office, we continue to design hope, one project at a time.
