It is a privilege for EMI to continue our partnership with MAF PNG in Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea. MAF is relocating to new plots of land at Kagamuga Airport and would like to develop a master plan for the new facilities. Currently, MAF is seeking services from EMI to send a team of architects to meet with MAF leadership in Australia and revisit MAF PNG in Mt. Hagen for architectural programming.

Mission Aviation Fellowship is an international Christian organisation whose purpose is to bring help, hope and healing through aviation to people living in isolation and poverty. Every 5.6 minutes a MAF aircraft takes off or lands somewhere in the world, transporting people who live in remote villages and assisting missions, churches, aid and development agencies and others working to transform the lives of communities that are cut off from the outside world.

Project Scope

EMI will send a professional team consisting of three architects to Cairns, Australia and Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea to conduct interviews and guide leadership through development programming. (Includes site visit to MAF, Mareeba site). EMI will conduct programming meetings with MAF to further understand the project details, existing facilities, preferred building materials and methods, and other key site details. Prepare masterplan for the greenfield site and concepts for required building facilities for MAF review and presentation to MAF Board. Main programming needs are understood to cover passenger and cargo terminal, head quarters office, hangar, and facility maintenance workshop and the associated infrastructure to support the development.
