Located in northwestern Tanzania, Murgwanza Hospital has been providing compassionate, quality, evidence-based healthcare for the remote and vulnerable communities of the Ngara region for nearly 100 years. They serve a catchment population of about half a million people, and each year they treat over 30,000 outpatients and have more than 15,000 inpatient admissions.
The demands placed on Murgwanza's infrastructure and facilities are extensive, and the hospital is struggling with reliable electricity, failing structures, and inadequate space, among other things. In partnership with Medical Mission Aid (MMA), Murgwanza Hospital is seeking a comprehensive facility assessment and programming effort to help guide the hospital's redevelopment and future growth.
Project Scope
The EMI team will conduct an on-site visit to analyze the site & campus and engage with hospital leadership and staff members, assessing current realities, critical challenges, anticipated growth, and projected needs for the hospital's development over the coming years.
Deliverables will include a report and drawings documenting the present state of the campus buildings, systems, and spaces, as well as a detailed program outlining the scope of future growth that aligns with the hospital's vision and mission and the needs of the surrounding communities.
We are privileged to serve Murgwanza Hospital and MMA as they seek to provide “quality, accessible healthcare for the current and next generation of vulnerable Ngara region communities through improved hospital facilities, staffing, and infrastructure.” Would you prayerfully consider joining this team to support the hospital's efforts to improve healthcare and save lives in Tanzania?
