EMI has been invited by the Jiwan Joyti Christian Hospital (JJCH) in Uttar Pradesh to assist them with a master plan design for their campus. JJCH started in the 1930’s and provides much needed medical services to the local community as well as neighbouring states. Their eye hospital as well as many of their other departments in including orthopaedic prosthetics have a great reputation and draw a huge amount of patients. In the winter months the eye hospital performs 30-40 surgeries a day!
The 8-9 person EMI team will assemble in Delhi and then travel to Uttar Pradesh and spend the week living and working at JJCH. With regular input from the hospital leadership and staff, the architecture team will design a site master plan as well as conceptual designs of the OPD and IPD block replacements. The engineering and survey team will focus on documenting the existing conditions and working with the architecture team on masterplan solutions to address site drainage issues.
