Office Update
Every six months, God entrusts us with people.
One of the joys of each internship season is watching God bring together people who may never have crossed paths otherwise. As interns become part of daily life at EMI South Africa, they bring fresh perspectives, thoughtful questions and unique experiences that enrich our team in countless ways.
This month, that story continues as we welcome five new interns to EMI South Africa:
Over the coming months, they will contribute to real projects, work alongside experienced professionals and experience life in a diverse, Christ-centred workplace. They will be challenged, encouraged and equipped as they continue growing both professionally and spiritually.
Each new term invites us to mentor, teach, listen and create space for others to flourish. In doing so, we often find ourselves learning just as much as we teach. The unique experiences, perspectives and cultures each intern brings enrich our team, broaden our understanding and give us a deeper glimpse of the richness of God’s kingdom.
It is a privilege to watch interns grow in their technical skills, but also in character, confidence and faith as they discover how their profession can become an expression of their calling. It is equally encouraging to see how many continue serving long after their internship ends. Some return as fellows, others as staff, while many carry what they have learnt into churches, workplaces and communities around the world. The impact of an internship often reaches far beyond the months spent in our office.

As this new group begins their journey, we invite you to pray alongside us. Pray that God would deepen their faith, strengthen their skills and guide each step ahead. Pray too for our staff, that we would continue to mentor with wisdom, humility and generosity as we walk this journey together.
Could this be someone else's story?
Applications for our Term 1 2027 Internship Programme are now open.
If you know a recent architecture or civil engineering graduate who is exploring how their profession can be used in service of God and others, we'd love you to share this opportunity with them. It may just be the beginning of a story God is already writing.
