The city of Goma in DR Congo suffers from a lack of reliable water source and extreme material poverty, often resulting in substandard buildings. In this context, the Anglian Church is working on a number of construction projects to provide community space, theological training and to maintain a vital community radio station.

Join our EMI Belfast event on Tuesday 16th April 7:30pm at Hall Black Douglas Architects, 152 Albertbridge Rd, Belfast BT5 4GS to hear from EMI UK volunteers Thomas and Jonny who were part of a recent project trip there. See how they navigated a lack of common construction materials, learned from local people and used their engineering skills to get back to basics with septic tanks and percolation tests, working with a well-motivated client to serve local people to the glory of God.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Look forward to seeing you there!
