Given roughly only 10% of pastors in Guanacaste province in Costa Rica have training, there is a need for support for local church leaders. Meanwhile, there is a demand for safe spaces for children, in an area where trafficking is a serious issue. Given land inherited by the foot of a volcano, the project must be sensitive to its rural setting whilst meeting the needs of several hundred users.

Join our EMI Oxford event on Thursday 17th April 7:30pm – 9pm at The Community Works, 21 Park End St, OX1 1HH to hear from EMI UK Outreach Worker and past Intern, Catherine, who helped design a masterplan for a seminary school and summer camp in Costa Rica. Hear about the challenges and opportunities of designing in a rural setting, learn about the amazing impact of the client and see the design output.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Look forward to seeing you there!
