We invite you to attend a free workshop around what it looks like to partner with God in your work.
Hosted by EMI South Africa in collaboration with Ziwani.
Workshop Overview:
Do you believe the built environment has a redemptive purpose in the world?
Are you concerned about distorted practices in the industry?
Do you see your Christian faith as deeply integrated into your profession?
Do you feel the need to shift your work practices to reflect God's design more faithfully?
If these questions resonate with you, then this Faith and Work Workshop is designed to help you engage with them more deeply. Join us as we reimagine God’s heart for the built environment and explore ways to move away from dualism in the workplace towards an integration of Faith and Work in the built environment.
Agenda Highlights:
- Aligning our work with God's glory and purpose
- Reflecting on the original design and intent behind the built environment
- Identifying distortions and exploring redemptive solutions
- Discussing practical ways to align work practices with Biblical principles
- Breakaway sessions for deep reflection and group discussion

Who is Ziwani?
The Swahili word ‘Ziwani’ means ‘at the lake’ which represents a place of refreshment, community, and commerce for Christian business leaders in Africa.
Ziwani is an initiative of Mergon, an entrepreneurial investment company that distributes its proceeds through the Mergon Foundation to fund Kingdom impact organisations in South Africa, Sub-Saharan and North Africa and the Middle East regions, and seeks to inspire and equip others to do the same.
We believe that as Christian business leaders we have been called to:
Influence
Not just to generate profits and thereby financially support other redemptive influences in society, but to also have a redemptive influence in and through doing business.
Steward
To be redemptive stewards of the capital entrusted to us and the influence it affords us.
Shape
To shape our business and industry practices to reflect the nature and character of God (to be salt and light).
Inspire
To inspire others to take up this marketplace calling, so that together we can creatively and positively change culture and lead the way in building a flourishing and just society.
Recognise
To recognise that all of the above can only flow from an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ as our personal Redeemer.
