UGANDA
The EMI Uganda Construction Workshop is a place where East Africans are hired, trained, and discipled to glorify God with their lives—both in the trade and in their communities. EMI has developed plans to expand the Workshop to more than 5 times the size of the current space.

INDIA
Build the capacity of EMI India with technical software licenses of Civil 3D and AutoCAD LT. EMI is committed to integrity with software use, so staff and intern growth means more software seats are needed for this team.

MENA
Mobilize six local design professionals from EMI MENA to participate on international EMI projects. These opportunities for leadership growth and discipleship on cross-cultural mission shouldn't be missed.

WHEN DO WE GO?
Four teams of 12-16 climbers will be assembled to climb together over two weeks starting in January 2019. Seven days will be needed for trekking, but additional days should be included for travel to Tanzania and for any other activities you would like to include in your trip (think, amazing African safari).

Team One: January 21 - January 27
Team Two: January 22 - January 28
Team Three: January 28 - February 3
Team Four: January 29 - February 4

WHAT'S THE ROUTE?
The Machame Route is a non-technical, extreme altitude, 7-day trek ascending Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's tallest freestanding mountain. Imagine passing through 5 distinct ecological zones: Rainforest, Heath, Moorland, Alpine Desert, and Arctic Glacier - then summiting, under the light of the moon, on the highest point on the continent of Africa.

WHO CAN JOIN?
Anyone who is fourteen years or older, is in good health, and who is in good physical condition.

You can serve EMI and help expand our vision to see "people restored by God and the world restored through design." Our goal is to raise $170,000 to bring restoration and hope to least reached places around the world. You can be a part of the team by climbing and fundraising for EMI.

WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT?

$2000 minimum per climber with...$500 in incentives* for every $1000 raised over the minimum.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED TOTAL COSTS?

From North America, the projected costs are $5,500 including the $2,000 minimum donation to EMI. More details can be provided for registered climbers taking into account travel and in-country costs. A fundraising goal of $9,000 should provide incentives to cover a climber's total costs.

*Incentives is money that a climber can use toward the costs of the trip. It might help to cover flight or guide costs.
