About EMI Mexico

The vision to establish an organization that supports communities and partner organizations through design, engineering, and construction services in Mexico had been developing among Mexican professionals for many years. This vision was shaped through the participation of local professionals in various EMI projects, as well as more recent collaboration with the EMI Nicaragua office. These experiences helped turn the idea of establishing an office in Mexico into a tangible reality.

Organizational preparation and registration efforts began in 2021, and the Mexico office was officially registered in January 2022. Existing relationships with universities, community organizations, local professionals, and other logistical considerations led the founding team to strategically locate the office in Ensenada, Mexico, a city near the northwest border with the United States.

EMI World Mexico is committed to building strong local partnerships, contributing positively to the design-build sector, and fostering collaborative relationships with organizations that seek to advance sustainable development, resilient infrastructure, and long-term community well-being throughout the region
