Scott spent his career leading technical teams, working with multiple clients, and delivering projects throughout the United States. These positions and experiences have prepared Scott to lead EMI staff and volunteers to come alongside ministries around the world to provide architecture and engineering services so these ministries can expand on God's work and better serve the people in their communities.
Ministry Experience
The Lord called Scott away from a 30-year consulting engineering career that was becoming less satisfying and challenged him to join a full-time ministry. Through prayer and a limited knowledge of EMI through a small group connection with an EMI staff member, God revealed EMI as the ministry that would allow Him to use Scott's engineering and leadership skills to serve others and help advance the Kingdom. EMI has been a great answer to Scott's prayers.
Family
Scott met Carol, a chemical engineering student, while they both attended Colorado School of Mines. They married in 1990, a few years after graduation, and launched their careers before starting their family a few years later. They have been blessed with a daughter Megan (born in 1995), a son Nick (born in 1997), and a son Joe (born in 2006). The Sammons currently live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
