Throughout her post-secondary education, Shairah has had experience volunteering and working in various non-profit sectors that range from the creative arts, to faith, to mental health.

Ministry Experience

During her undergraduate, Shairah was a student leader for a faith-oriented academic club in the University of Calgary, Power to Change. Shairah was first exposed to inter-cultural relations during her internship at the New Canadian Friendship Centre (now Centre for the City) wherein she taught the English language to New Immigrants and Refugees. From there, she knew that she had the heart to serve God's global ministry.
