In the EMI South Africa office in Cape Town, we are looking for a Junior IT Technician to join our team from 1 July 2025.

Qualifications
  • A heart for Christian mission – a desire to serve with your skills
  • Diploma or associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT technician role.
  • Familiarity with Dell hardware (laptops).
  • Familiarity with CAD software—AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365 (with understanding of Azure, Linux OS, Entra, Intune)

  • Familiarity with Synology NAS-server environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, while working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support for users across the organisation.
  • Set up and maintain Dell computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support and troubleshoot CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for technical teams.
  • Assist teams in other offices virtually/remotely across the Middle East and Africa regions with IT support needs.
  • Manage user accounts, software installations, and hardware configurations.
  • Keep accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and service tickets.
  • Collaborate on system upgrades and IT projects.
  • Maintain clear documentation and conduct IT administrative tasks.
