Cherish Uganda Health Center

The Cherish Uganda Health Center plays an important role in the organization’s desire to “Change the Story” for children living with HIV/AIDS. Caring staff provide HIV testing, treatment, and counseling within the facility, as well as awareness and education for communities in the surrounding region.

EMI Uganda has been a partner with Cherish since 2012, providing site planning, architecture, engineering, and construction management for phased development on a 20-acre site in Bulega. The Health Center established the character for future buildings, using locally-fired exposed clay bricks, well-ventilated and welcoming spaces, and clean, visible detailing.
