Professional Training & Experience

  • BS, Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN 2003
  • BS, Mathematics, Northwestern College, St. Paul, MN 2003
  • PE, Electrical Engineering, Minnesota 2008

The summer before graduating from the University of Minnesota, Andy did an internship with EMI.  After graduation, he spent 5 years working as a power and controls engineer at Loram Maintenance of Way in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Andy joined EMI staff in 2008.

Ministry Experience

Having grown up as a missionary kid in Africa, Andy entered college wanting to study something that would enable him to take the gospel to places where Christ is not preached.  He studied engineering because he enjoyed maths and sciences and knew engineering services were needed and welcomed anywhere in the world.  Andy joined the EMI staff to be a part of the team starting the EMI office to serve the Middle East and North Africa.

Andy and Megan have been married for 10 years and have 4 delightful children - David (2013), Abigail (2015), William (2016) and Olivia (2019).  Megan is a teacher, photographer, homeschooler and all-around super-mom and wife.
