While studying Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver, April earned a certificate in Classical Architecture and won the Robert and Judi Newman Award for excellence in Classical and Traditional Design, student division. While in school, she gained professional experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for four semesters and spent one summer as an intern at Peter Vincent Architects (PVA) in Hawaii. At PVA, April got a taste what it is like to work with clients, hearing their stories and hopes of how their home would bless their growing families. She enjoys bringing that experience to the mission field and continues to learn how to build relationships with ministry clients.
Ministry Experience
April has always been willing to serve in her local church whenever there was a need. She has ministered to young babies to adult women in a variety of ways. It wasn’t until the summer of 2019 when she went on her first mission trip to India, that God showed her she could use His gift of architecture to further His kingdom. April joined staff in December of 2019.
