BA(Hons) Architecture, The University of Sheffield
MArch Architecture, The University of Sheffield
Following her BA architecture studies, Genevieve spent 2 years working as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at Mark Reeves Architects in West London, where she worked on residential master planning projects. Since completing her MArch studies, she has spent a year as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at Norton Mayfield Architects, Sheffield, working on a variety of scales of residential and commercial fit-out work, from concept design through to technical design. From there she spent a term as an architecture intern with EMI Canada.
Ministry Experience
Genevieve was raised going to a Baptist Church in Cardiff, where she was well supported and given opportunities to train in leadership and preaching from her teenage years. Throughout her studies and afterwards, Genevieve has consistently been involved in a variety of Children's, Youth and Worship Ministries as she has moved around the UK, and was a Deanery Synod representative at a Church plant in its early years.
Genevieve was first introduced to EMI through a networking event in Sheffield in 2022, whilst she was studying for her Architecture Masters. Having been part of Sheffield University's Humanitarian Architecture Society, EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) Student Action Group, and working towards a final design project with an international development focus, an internship with EMI was a next step to exploring what direction those interests might take career in. After a term as an architecture intern with EMI Canada, she has joined EMI UK as Development and Engagement Coordinator to help further EMI's reach within the UK.
Family
Genevieve is one of two siblings and has a loving and supportive family. Although having lived away from her family home for nearly 9 years, Genevieve is blessed to have found further family in Churches she has been part of, and friends she has made.
