Professional Training & Experience

Jacob graduated from Oklahoma State with a bachelor's in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Before EMI he traveled to Guatemala and Cambodia to assist in various development projects. After college Jacob worked in Oklahoma City in water and wastewater treatment plant design for municipalities in Oklahoma. 

Throughout his time at EMI he has designed and help manage various water and wastewater systems for projects in Kenya, Uganda, Alaska, Nicaragua, and Mexico.  He also shares a passion for WASH and working hand in hand with communities to explore solutions for helping meet their needs.  After receiving his PE in 2024, he joined staff at EMI Mexico where he now works as a civil engineer, project manager and Fellowship Coordinator. 

Ministry Experience

Jacob helped lead various Bible studies in college and also interned as a youth pastor. He has a deep passion for discipleship both in the group setting and one-on-one relationships. Jacob additionally has a passion for youth ministry and being apart of the local church's efforts in raising up the next generation of Christ followers. Recently Jacob completed the Fellowship Program and received a Masters Certificate in Christian Ministry.

Family

Jacob is married to his beautiful wife Haven. They met at Oklahoma State and got married after graduation. Haven has worked in various ministries that help victims of trauma and those rescued from sex trafficking. They both enjoy investing in their community and church, drinking coffee, reading, watching American football, and taking long naps on the weekends.
