Ministry Experience

While at university, Laura became involved with Friends International and went on to spend a year ministering to international students in Cambridge as a Reach volunteer. She then became an 'EMI spouse' for a year as her husband interned with the EMI UK office.

In 2018, after a break from EMI in which she and Adam served as Mission Co-ordinators at their local church, Laura and Adam rejoined EMI! Then in 2021, Laura became the Intern Co-ordinator for EMI UK, working remotely from her home in Kampala. She thinks she has the best job at EMI as she gets to meet so many enthusiastic young Christians and watch them grow as God works in them through their internships! She also loves being part of the EMI community in Uganda - mentoring and supporting others in the EMI family and beyond.

Family

Laura is married to Adam, who is the Engineering Manager at EMI Uganda. They are both TCKs (third culture kids), having grown up in Spain and Malawi respectively. They have two wonderful girls, Beth and Sophie, and Laura sees raising them as her most important ministry. But EMI comes a close second!
