Important message about the COVID-19 Coronavirus

In an effort to care for all of our personnel, families, and mission around the world, EMI has been taking a number of steps in response to the progress of COVID-19.

Location-specific Crisis Management Teams remain in place to monitor COVID developments, inform, and care for EMI personnel. Decisions about official EMI travel (including project travel) domestically and internationally are being made on a case-by-case basis by Office Directors in locations concerned. EMI’s worldwide offices remain in varying states of closure with personnel working remotely or from home.

We continue to actively monitor the situation and will respond to new information affecting our worldwide ministry and teams. We view the COVID-19 Coronavirus as an opportunity to live out the gospel and our faith in Jesus through the ministry of EMI.

Professional Training & Experience

Sally graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in June 2021 with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentration in Marketing and minor in Statistics. She first found her passion for non-profits after interning for a micro-finance organization in Oaxaca, Mexico and earning her certification in Critically Informed International Development. Since then, she has worked for the International Rescue Committee as a Business Professionalism intern as well as in content marketing for a sustainable marketplace startup. After graduating from Cal Poly, she joined EMI as its Business Marketing fellow, serving on the Business Development Team.

Ministry Experience

Ever since Sally was young, she has felt a tug on her heart towards missions. However, despite multiple attempts to go on a mission trip, it never quite worked out and she learned to listen to God's continuous "not yet". In college, Sally was very involved with Cru where she led a Bible Study and discipled freshmen girls. This is where she became even more invested in the idea of serving in ministry in a place where she could combine her degree with sharing Christ with others. She is very excited that God's "Not yet" has turned into a "go now", so she can begin her career in ministry.

Family

Sally comes from the Clarks from Clarksburg. She is the third of 4 children with 2 older sisters and a little brother. Her mother previously worked as a nurse before retiring to raise 4 kids and father is a civil engineer.
