Sarah graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration. She later also completed her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, particularly as it relates to ministry. 

Ministry Experience

Sarah had served through many mission trips throughout high school and college, most in Latin America. Upon graduating from college, Sarah moved to live and serve youth in Cairo, Egypt for almost 10 years. During that time, she helped re-launch her church’s youth ministry – investing in elements of discipleship, community service, and youth programs. She became involved with EMI in 2023 as the Intern Coordinator for EMI’s Mexico office. She also currently works with EMI USA’s Engagement team.

Family

Sarah has been married to her husband, Baher Wassif, for 9 years. They met, got married, and lived in Egypt for several years. In 2022, they moved to serve with EMI Mexico, where Baher also serves as Deputy Director and Project Leader. Their Egyptian dog Diego has also made the move to Mexico and is very happily accustomed to life in Ensenada!
